Making a splash in 1954 was this 60-foot barge when it was launched on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal at Whitebirk.
The barge had undergone a complete re-fit at the boatyard of T & J Hodson who had been making boats for more than 75 years. The barge had an English oak hull and pitch pine decking.
