A WOMAN was attacked and robbed as she used a cashpoint at a supermarket.

The 51-year-old victim withdrew £150 from Asda, Colne when a man approached her from behind at 8.45pm on Wednesday.

PC Karen Edwards said: "We are appealing for witnesses.

"We know there were other people at the cash machine round and about the time who would have seen the offence.

"This seems like a pre-planned attack on a vulnerable victim who has been left badly injured and very shaken.

"Anyone who saw the incident or has any information should come forward."

The white attacker is described as having facial hair, wearing a dark bobble hat, a dark, waist-length jacket with a wide grey zip at the front over a white top.He wore dark Adidas tracksuit pants.
