A FORMER Rossendale landlord is due to stand trial next year.
Nick Hogan, 48, from Summerseat, is accused of defying the smoking ban and faces nine charges - five for failing to prevent people smoking on the premises and four of obstructing Bolton council officers.
The former licensee of the Holden Arms in Haslingden and the Waterside pub in Summerseat, had previously pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
He is currently a licensee of the Swan Hotel and Barristers bar in Churchgate, Bolton.
A two-day trial will begin on January 28.
He is the second licensee to face action over the ban - Hugh Howitt, from Blackpool, was fined £500 with £2,000 costs.
