Over the next four months huge transporters will be emerging from the A56 onto the Woolpack roundabout on their way to Edenfield and Scout Moor. The operation will take place between 10am and 2pm as the juggernauts head down Manchester Road so traffic may well be affected.
There will eventually be 26 wind turbines on Scout Moor generating 65MW of electricity.
And contrary to all those people complaining about "a blot on the landscape" (and who 20 years ago were moaning about us using up fossil fuels), I think they look quite majestic.
