A TAXI driver was robbed of his takings by a four-strong gang after taking a fare in Burnley on Saturday night, police have said.
The driver, from City Cabs, Accrington Road, was dropping off a fare at the junction of Harold Street and Kinross Street, when he was attacked.
He was pulled from his Vauxhall Vectra, assaulted and one of them smashed one of the car's windows.
One of the quartet, all white and wearing black hoodies, grabbed the car key and they all walked off.
