POLICE called to Royal Blackburn Hospital found a drunken man in an A&E cubicle with a jacket over his head.
Blackburn magistrates heard staff were refusing to treat Phillip Wiggins because of his disorderly behaviour.
And when police ordered him to leave he became abusive.
Wiggins, 43, of Great Bolton Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.
He was fined £50 which was set against the time he had already served in custody.
Robin Phoenix, defending, said his client was a chronic alcoholic who had no recollection of the incident.
