A 23-year-old man who was facing a charge of attempted murder has pleaded guilty to lesser offences.
Damien Duckworth of Redgarth Road, Darwen, had been due to stand trial at Preston Crown court facing the attempted murder allegation.
But today Duckworth pleaded guilty to wounding Nathan Banks with intent on June 20 this year and unlawfully wounding another man on March 30.
Judge Anthony Russell QC adjourned sentence for the preparation of a background report by the probation service and a psychiatrics report.
He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on December 20.
