AROUND £1,000 of Yorkshire stone was stolen from a pensioner's back yard.
The flags, which are two-and-a-half square feet in width and four inches thick, were taken from Pine Street, Haslingden, on Thursday.
Witnesses saw a stocky white man with curly brown hair acting suspiciously in the area. Also seen was a white van with green writing on it.
Police are appealing for nearby residents with information to contact PC 479 Marc Rigby on 01282 425001, quoting crime reference number FL0702680.
