A PUB is shutting its restaurant temporarily due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus.
Owners at The Dog Inn at Belthorn have said the pub's restaurant is closing due to a large number of cancellations and staff illness.
On its website, a spokesman said the restaurant is now closed with immediate effect until further notice, but the bar and coffee shop are currently still open.
On its Facebook page, a pub spokesman said: "It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to close the restaurant at The Dog Inn until further notice.
"A large amount of cancellations and staff illness has meant that staying open is not an option.
"Mark and myself have not taken this decision lightly and will do everything in our power to re open as soon as possible, however, the safety of our staff and customers is paramount.
"Our Italian job themed night will therefore be postponed until a future date, however anybody who would prefer a refund can email us at reservations@thedoginnatbelthorn.net.
"We wish everyone to stay safe and we hope to see you soon.
"Thank you for understanding.
"Any queries please do not hesitate to contact us on 07773229933, yours sincerely Mark, Jamie and the restaurant team.
