AN EAST Lancashire farm has sold at auction for £1.3million - £100,000 over the guide price.
The sale of Knott Farm in Chipping, which is a traditional stock farm with around 97 acres of good grassland, a farmhouse in need of full modernisation and a range of traditional buildings, was the highlight of the latest A & S Auctions.
Held in the Silverwoods Sale Room at the Clitheroe Auction Mart, the auction provided the opportunity to bid on a variety of lots ranging from residential developments to a farmhouse in an area of outstanding national beauty.
John Atherton, owho presided over the auction, said: “We were delighted at the level of interest generated by the auction. In addition to there being a very good turnout in the room, we had a number of telephone bidders which added to the excitement of the occasion.
”We will soon be planning and commencing marketing for our next auction in late spring. If you think you have a property that would benefit from this type of sale, please contact us on 01254 822 722.”
