POLICE alerted to a possible drink driver followed a car to Mellor Brook where the driver gave a roadside reading of more than three times the legal limit.
Blackburn magistrates heard that when Matthew James Linford was taken to the police station he refused to provide a sample unless his solicitor was present.
Linford, 36, of Oak Street, Colne, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
He was banned from driving for three years after the court was told he had two previous convictions for drink driving offences.
The club doorman was made subject to a curfew from Sunday to Thursday between 8pm and 8am after the court was told he woks on Friday and Saturday nights.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £90 victim surcharge.
