A LARGE seizure of the synthetic drug spice is said to have been made in Blackburn.
Police say they raided a house in the Infirmary district of the town on Saturday night amid concerns over drug dealing.
Spice abuse in Blackburn has prompted widespread public concerns, with addicts caught on camera making national headlines earlier this year.
And the Lancashire Telegraph revealed in October that a potentially new strain of spice had caused concerns among public health officials and led to increased hospital admissions.
A spokesman for Blackburn Police, commenting on the Infirmary raid, said: "We have acted upon community information that we have recieved regarding the concerns of suspected drug dealing.
"On attending the address, officers have found a large quantity of drugs, suspected to be spice, along with a knife and other items."
