THERE are no nerves on show as Blackburn's Lammack Primary School pupils go through the dress rehearsal for their annual show on February 14 1994.

Pictured are the principal characters in a performance of Oliver by Lionel Bart.

The famous musical is based on Charles Dicken's celebrated novel Oliver Twist.

One the far left is 10-year-old Alexander Ross as Oliver and next to him 11-year-old Katie Ainsworth as The Artful Dodger.

Centre right is Jonathan Chambers, aged 11, as Mr Bumble with Lindsay Murray,10, on the far right as Bette.

The show as performed for parents of pupils on two evenings February 15 and 17.

Judging the by magnificence of the costumes and the the confidence of the main players in this picture, it was clearly 'The Dickens of a performance' enjoyed by all.
