POLICE have cracked down on young people who are causing trouble in local neighbourhoods.
The operating has seen police seize almost 250 cans and bottles of alcohol from youngsters in Blackburn.
Sgt Kathryn McIntyre, said: "Youngsters who congregate in large groups and act in an anti-social manner are disrupting the quality of life for local residents and this crackdown will help to reduce and prevent further incidents of anti-social behaviour..
"This alcohol was seized over the last three months from youngsters in Blackburn and I hope it sends a strong message to those intent on causing trouble that the police and community will not tolerate alcohol related crime and disorder."
The operation comes a month after police seized 300 bottles and cans of alcohol in Darwen, as part of the anti-social behaviour campaign Operation Summer Nights".
Police found alcohol on youths as young as ten during the crackdown.
