A CAR overturned in a crash near a set of temporary traffic lights.
Insp Andy Willis said a police officer was driving down Whalley New Road and discovered the blue Fiat 500, flipped on its side, at around 7.50pm on Saturday.
Insp Willis said the driver was out of his car at the scene, which was near the Brownhill Arms pub, at the junction with Ramsgreave Drive.
He said: "The vehicle was recovered and the driver did not suffer any serious injuries.
"It is currently unclear what led the car to turn onto its side."
Police closed off parts of the junction last night while the car was removed.
The junction is being controlled by a set of temporary traffic lights.
This comes after a seven-year-old boy was injured in a suspected hit-and-run on Friday evening near the same junction.
