ORGANISERS of a new scheme to promote the best food in the Ribble Valley have held their inaugural meeting.
Ribble Valley Food Trail was launched in summer and the search is on to find the best food producers, retailers and restaurants to turn the borough into a premier UK food destination.
The selection panel includes Northcote Manor's Nigel Haworth, Mayor of Ribble Valley Doreen Taylor, Lancashire food writer Olivia Assheton, and Ribble Valley Council's tourism and arts officer Rebecca Kay.
The trail will include a series of maps featuring the area's foodie landmarks for food enthusiasts to follow by foot or public transport.
