BURNLEY'S Moorhouse's Brewery has claimed another top brewing industry accolade.
The independent cask-ale-brewer has again been honoured in the annual SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers) Brewing Business Awards - collecting the Best Packaging Initiative' for its revamp of its Pendle Witches themed bottle range, with new, imaginative labelling and striking eight-bottle-container.
The 500ml bottle range includes: Pendle Witches Brew, Black Cat and newcomers Blond Witch in the UK and English Owd Ale and Blond Bitch in the States.
Last year the brewer won the Best Public Relations Initiative trophy, for its 140th Victorian themed anniversary celebrations in 2005.
The latest accolade was amongst ten SIBA awards aimed at highlighting the commercial successes of the rapidly growing independent brewing sector.
Presenting the award at the prestigious Institute of Directors' HQ in London's Pall Mall, SIBA judges said the eight-bottle-pack was unique and showed that Moorhouse's had listened to the needs of the high street retailer.
