DANCERS from Blackburn have stepped up to win a haul of medals at a national competition.
Belmont Morris Dancers, who practise at St Peter's RC Primary School in Hawkin Street, and at St Wilfrid's High School, won an impressive 16 trophies at the competition at Pontins.
Leah Hyatt, 10, won the title of Tiny Champion Mascot, Jasmine Burdus, 2, won Baby Personality of the Year, and sisters Rayah and Ashlee Liddiard, won Tiny and Junior Personality of the Year titles respectively.
Carol McMahon won the Ajudicator's Award in the senior section, and Fiona Dunne won the Troupe Principal of the Year.
Anne Haddock won Dinky Trainer of the Year, and Lisa Rodgers and Jenny Pelham won Tiny Trainers of the Year.
Junior Trainers of the Year title went to Tracey Eccles and Paula Briercliffe and Aleesha Cooper, 14, won Junior Dancer of the Year.
Anne Haddock said: "I am so proud of all the girls because they have all worked hard."
