SIR Jack Walker and Dave Whelan have been shortlisted in the search to find the North West's most inspirational business icons.
The pair have been nominated alongside Everton FC chairman Bill Kenwright, a businessman and philanthropist Sir John Moores and Henry Boddington, who became owner of the brewery, in the competition organised by BT Business.
Sir Jack set up Walker Steel and was chairman of Blackburn Rovers and Mr Whelan, a former Rovers player founded JJB Sports.
The quintet were shortlisted after setting up successful business.
