POLICE alerted to a drink-driver tracked the man using CCTV cameras.
Blackburn magistrates heard when officers got to Paul Trickett's home at 4.43am his car engine was warm though he claimed he had been home all night.
But cameras showed he had been in Clayton-le-Moors and in Whalley centre in the early hours.
Trickett, 53, of Calder-stones Drive, Whalley, admitted driving with excess alcohol. He was fined £350 with £65 costs and banned from driving for three years.
