A 41-YEAR-OLD man who had a few drinks after playing in a golf tournament at Blackburn Golf Club was stopped as he drove home by police who had received a report of a possible drink-driver.
Blackburn magistrates heard Douglas Brown was almost three times the legal limit when he was breathalysed at his home.
Brown, of Livesey Branch Road, Blackburn, admitted driving with excess alcohol. He was fined £300 with £65 costs, and banned for 16 months.
