A WOMEN'S rugby team is looking to capitalise on World Cup fever to recruit younger members.
Colne women's rugby team, now in its 13th season, has lost a number of players due to injury and pregnancy among other reasons.
Coun Anne Kerrigan, who plays on the team, is hoping to recruit younger women of all sizes, and abilities, to keep the team going.
The team meets every Wednesday, from 7pm to 9pm at Colne Rugby Club.
Coun Kerrigan said: "We need some big young girls to play in the scrum.
"Everyone is welcome, whatever size or shape, because we also need smaller girls who can move fast around the pitch."
Anyone aged over 17 can take part, and Coun Kerrigan can be contacted for more information.
