COMMUNITY groups have been invited to express an interest in village pub.
The vacant Buck Inn in Grindleton has been put up for sale by its owners for £295,000 plus VAT.
The hostelry is included on Ribble Valley Council's Register of Community Assets.
This gives local groups the right to make a priority bid to acquire it as a community facility.
The historic inn occupies a central position in the village of Grindleton and includes a picnic area and car park.
It is situated on Sawley Road close to its junction with Main Street.
The sale would include a premises licence to sell alcohol.
The Buck Inn is described as a detached two-storey property of stone construction with rendered elevations set beneath a pitched slate
roof and single storey extensions to both the side and rear.
It has a lounge bar with dining area, snug and games room.
Community interest groups wishing to be considered a potential bidder are asked to state their intention in writing to Diane Rice, head of legal and democratic services, Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, BB7 2RA, by Tuesday August 6.
