A 49-year-old man was committed to Burnley Crown Court by Burnley magistrates, accused of child sex offences.
Bertram John Hughes, of Barnoldswick New Road, Salterforth, will face a hearing on November 5 and was given conditional bail.
He is charged with two allegations of indecent assault on a girl under 14, betwen 1992 and 1993 and two counts of gross indecency with a girl under 16 between the same dates.
