SNOW White is coming to Burnley next week as a special half-term holiday treat for young dance lovers.
Members of the illustrious Rudolph Nureyev Russian State Ballet Academy will be performing the classic fairytale at Burnley Mechanics on Thursday.
The academy's production has elements of both the Brothers Grimm and the Disney versions of the story.
The trusty seven dwarfs whistle their way to work, of course, even as the egomaniacal queen attempts to stir up a cauldron of trouble for the beautiful and kind-hearted young heroine.
Scored to the original music of Karen Khachaturian with libretto and choreography by Boris Miagkoi, this enchanting ballet is vividly brought to life on stage by the 40 talented young dancers of the Rudolph Nureyev Russian State Ballet Academy, in a performance that captures the refinement and charm of a classical Russian ballet.
