Police throughout Lancashire are inviting people to do their bit to help combat crime as part of the Not in My Neighbourhood Week.
The campaign is being led by the Home Office and its crime-busting partners and runs until Sunday.
Chief Insp Richard Blackburn said: "The purpose of this week is to foster a sense of empowerment in our local communities, and raise awareness of the huge range of work people do, day in day out, to keep crime down, and make communities safe."
Neighbourhood Watch celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and Keith Warren, chair of Lancashire Neighbourhood Watch Forum said: "I encourage anyone who is not part of a Neighbourhood Watch scheme to contact their local police station who can advise and assist them in how to become involved."
