HAVE you ever wondered how the other half live — or how much their houses cost?
Property experts, Zoopla, reveal the five most expensive streets in and around Blackburn and how much they estimate a house would cost.
While the average price of a three-bedroom house is £136,307 in Blackburn, there are also some eyewatering upscale mansions nearby.
According to Zoopla, these are Blackburn’s most expensive streets, ranking the highest value using Zoopla’s ‘Zed Index’ and the average estimated price/value.
1. Kenyon Lane, Dinckley, BB6 — £930,859
The most expensive house on this street has an estimated current value of £1,428,000.
The 6-bed freehold detached house was last listed for sale in August 2017 for £1,550,000.
2. Saccary Lane, Mellor, BB1 — £721,691
3. Commons Lane, Balderstone, BB2 — £650,689
4. Cherry Drive, Brockhall Village, Old Langho, BB6 — £628,223
5. Further Lane, Mellor, BB2 — £590,800
In addition to the most expensive, Zoopla has also rounded up the streets where houses go up for sale most frequently.
This is worked out by dividing the number of sales over the past five years (not including new builds) by the number of homes in the given area.
