AN appeal for witnesses has been made after a road crash in Blackburn which left a man with pelvic and head injuries.
Police say two other woman received minor injuries in a collision between a Vauxhall Vivaro, Seat Ibiza and a Lexus RX400 at the junction of Preston New Road and Beardwood last night.
An investigation is underway after the Vauxhall, said to have been travelling along Preston New Road towards Blackburn, was in collision with the Seat, which was travelling in the opposite direction and about to turn right onto Beardwood
Police say the Seat is understood to have altered direction shortly before the vehicles collided. The Vauxhall then collided with the Lexus.
Three people are reported to have been injured.
A 20-year old man from Blackburn, a passenger in the Seat, suffered pelvic and head injuries, and the driver and passenger in the Lexus, both 48-year old women from Blackburn, suffered minor injuries.
The road was closed for around four-and-a-half hours for accident investigation work to take place.
Sgt Lee Harris, of Lancashire Constabulary's Tac Ops unit, said: "This was a significant collision and I would appeal for any witnesses who have not already spoken to the police or anyone who may have dash-cam footage which could assist to get in touch."
