BROWNIES took just 45 minutes to raise more than £480 with a sponsored swim.
Super swimmers from the 2nd Pendle Forest (St Anne's) pack managed eight-and-a-half miles, or 550 lengths, at Colne Leisure Centre.
The cash will be donated to a Swim4James campaign set up by then-Mayor Cllr James Starkie, to crash swimming courses.
This is in memory of James Goodship, who lost his life in Foulridge Reservoir in 2014.
Pack leaders Lesley Crumbleholme and Deidy Hakin praised the girls's 45-minute long effort.
Lesley said: "We hope the children who benefit from this cause will get as much enjoyment out of swimming as we do."
Mayoress Janet Starkie said: "We were delighted when Fence Brownies presented us with their sponsorship money for the Mayor's campaign."
