TRIBUTES have been paid to a popular busine-ssman who died after a heart attack.
Neville Gee, 58, of Oslo Road, Burnley, died at his home on Friday morning.
Mr Gee, managing director of the Neville Gee Employment Agency in Hargreaves Street until two years ago, was found collapsed on the floor by his wife, Dorothy, in the early hours of the morning.
He was well known in the co-mmunity for charity work and was President of Rosegrove Unity Working Men's Club and a former president of Burnley Rotary Club.
Dorothy said: "Neville was a really cheerful, outgoing man who would loved to keep busy.
"He was a member of the Rosegrove Unity Working Men's Club for 30 years and Burnley Rotary Club for many years.
"He was a huge Burnley FC fan. He went to the matches every week, it would have to be a special occasion for him to miss a match.
"Everybody knew who he was. He was walking down to Turf Moor one day when a man came up to him, patted him on the back and said this man gave me a job when nobody else would give me a chance'."
Neville was born in Rawtenstall and lived in Bacup until he was 20. He moved to Burnley in 1972 and set up his business a few years later after working for his brother Richard's employment agency.
He had suffered from two heart attacks previously, and had under gone a triple heart by-pass operation 13 years ago.
Bob Mclean, of Rosegrove Unity Working Men's Club, said: "He was a cheerful well respected man who loved life and loved the club.
"He was very devoted to the club and often organised charity quizzes and was a member of the snooker team.
"Neville was a fantastic spea-ker and had knew instinctively how to hold an audience.
"He was a great ambassador for the club and he will be sadly missed by all the members."
Neville leaves his wife Doro-thy, 57, his daughter Angela, 38, and two granddaughters Shannon, 14, and Molly, 12, and brother Richard.
His funeral will take place at 2.20pm on Friday at Burnley Crematorium and will be followed by a gathering at Rosegrove Unity Working Men's Club.
His family have requested family flowers only and that donations are to be made to the British Heart Foundation through Alderson and Horan Funeral Services.
