AN ambitious garage boss has issued an appeal to any would-be rivals as he looks to expand his empire.

Tyreoo, which used to be known as Colne Tyre Centre, has set itself a target of 20 new acquisitions before 2021.

Three sites across the area have been bought up by managing director Azhar Iqbal and his team to date.

And the Bridge Street based outfit is eager to build on that success, as they take on more tyres, MoT and valeting work in East Lancashire.

Mr Iqbal says he is now keen to contact more garage owners who may be considering selling up in the near future.

He added: “I fully appreciate that publicly declaring a desire to sell a business can be an uncomfortable or sensitive issue for many people, especially if they have had it for a long time.

“We understand the need for discretion and, with that in mind, are prepared to offer these owners five per cent above the market value.”

He has also been promoting the company's profile at business-to-business gatherings like Love Local Expo, which took place in Burnley earlier this month.

Tyreoo was looking to expand services from their current offering to also include vehicle leasing, tracking, fleet management and fuel card provision.

Mr Iqbal and Tyreoo have been busy building their reputation in the local community, forging links with a number of local and regional charities.

His company is one of the Platinum Patrons at Reedley-based Pendleside Hospice and has also worked closely with the likes of Derian House, at Chorley, Age Concern, Cash 4 Kids and Pendle Dogs In Need, as well as organisations such as the Alzheimer’s Society, Care after Combat and Lancashire Wildlife Trust.

Last year the company also donated tyre ‘furniture’ to a number of local schools.

He is asking anyone considering selling up to contact him, in confidence, by calling 01282 869984 or e-mailing azhar@tyreoo.com
