Jim Henderson, from Southport, raced to victory in the famous Ramsbottom Rake Hill climb.
It is the seventh time Henderson has won the punishing annual race from Carr Street to Holcombe Village.
Organisers though were disappointed when Olympic cyclist Bradley Wiggins pulled out of the race.
