James McCool, 26, of West Street, Nelson, is awaiting sentence, after admitting burglary at Burnley Crown Court.
The defendant faces three years behind bars as a three strikes' raider.
His barrister Mark Stuart told the court McCool could be considered for drug rehabilitation.
He said: "He has got into the routine of three years custody, out, custody for three years and out."
McCool was remanded in custody until November 9, for a pre-sentence report.
