A WOMAN is believed to have set fire to her flat following an argument with a neighbour, police said.
Police and fire crews were called to a flat in Rossall Terrace, off Manxman Road, Blackburn, at 6.30am yesterday.
They arrived to find the flat empty but the front room alight.
Firefighters spent about a hour at the scene.
Inspector Peter Zsigmod said: "A dispute between two neighbours has happened after someone has been moving wheelie bins.
"We believe a woman has then tried to set fire to the hedge with some paper.
"When she has failed we believe she has set fire to her curtains.
"We will be talking to the woman to find out more details but it is not a criminal offence to damage your own property."
