COLOURFUL tributes were paid at the funeral of a football-mad teenager who died suddenly.
Family and friends of Rebecca Duxbury wore bright clothes to remember the 13-year-old, from Lower Darwen.
Hundreds of her schoolmates watched as her coffin passed Darwen Vale High School as it left her home and re-traced the route that she went each day to school.
The funeral procession then made its way to St Aidan's Church, St Aidan's Avenue, Mill Hill.
Rebecca, known as Becky, played football for Darwen Ladies and her school.
Speaking after the funeral, her parents Ray and Vanessa said: "We are heartbroken at the loss of our beautiful daughter.
"She was a young and happy girl who was full of life and had everything to live for."
Tests are still to determine the cause of Becky's death.
