The Mayor of Blackburn turned waitress for a short time to raise money for a good cause.
Guests at Blakey's cafe in King George's Hall, Blackburn were served a hearty full English by Coun Maureen McGarvey at the charity breakfast yesterday.
Mayoress Ann Law-Riding was among those who tucked in to the fund-raising fare, the proceeds of which will go towards the mayoral charity Make-A-Wish.
It helps to grant wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses.
