Acting headteacher Susan Hasler-Cregg, who has only been at the school since September, was praised for her leadership.

The report said: "The associate headteacher provides good leadership. She has set up a clear educational aim for on-going improve-ments to enhance what the school offers to every pupil.

Mrs Hasler-Cregg said: "I feel honoured to be able to here. Everything in the report is true. The school has such a positive ethos, with everyone working together in a close community.

"The children have worked extremely hard and this report is a credit to them.

"The staff, parents and governors are committed to ensuring the children have the best possible education.

"I would like to thank the previous headteacher, Susanne Waller, who retired recently, she left everything in place for us to carry on her good work."
