A CRIMINAL with almost 200 convictions has been made a prisoner,' in his own home, after stealing a £3 sandwich.
Burnley Magistrates heard how Gavin Thomas, 29, had been drinking and didn't remember taking it.
He had 190 offences on his record which went back 15 years and included 98 offences of theft.
Thomas, of Tavistock Street, Nelson, admitted theft from Spar and asked for two theft offences to be considered.
Thomas was in breach of a conditional discharge for burglary and was given a two-month curfew, between 6pm and 6am, Mondays to Saturdays.
