DOTING sons and daughters were able to say it with flowers on Mothering Sunday - thanks to Blackburn Cathedral supporters.
Green-fingered helpers were on hand, on Church Street, to help pot flowering plants for young and old alike, ready to be handed over.
A Blackburn Cathedral spokesman said the idea came after a similar project, which saw the organisation hand out ash for Ash Wednesday.
"Flowers to Go is our own initiative for Mothering Sunday, when we say thank you to mothers and other carers, and Christians celebrate the way this mirrors the love of God for all people as his children," added the spokesman.
Flowers, compost, posts and decorations were all provided for the eager participants.
