Queens Road, Accrington, where the VW camper van caught fire
AN investigation is underway after a camper van caught fire in Accrington in the early hours.
Firefighters were alerted to a VW vehicle, which was well alight, in the Queens Road area, at around 2.30am.
Watch manager Mick Birks said one crew attended and that while the blaze was quickly brought under control, the van was destroyed.
He confirmed that an inquiry was now underway into the cause of the fire, which did not affect any surrounding property.
