A MAN found with a knuckle duster in his car and cash hidden between his buttocks was given a community order.
Burnley magistrates heard how Daniel Thomas, 19, was also discovered to have drugs. The defendant, of Leamington Avenue, Burnley, admitted possessing an offensive weapon and possessing amphetamine and cannabis.
Thomas, who was in breach of a conditional discharge, also pleaded guilty to assault.
He was given a 12-month community order with 200 hours unpaid work and was told to pay £285 in fines, costs and the victim surcharge.
The court was told the knuckle duster was found near the steering wheel when police stopped Thomas' car. When he was later strip searched, he was found to have £550 concealed between his buttocks.
