A GROUP of Chinese school students received a warm welcome when they arrived in England for an exchange program.
Bowland High School pupils in Clitheroe hosted the exchange on February 11 by showing the new arrivals around the town.
The students from Number 16 School in Fuzhou were also taken to places like Windermere and Blackpool, where they were treated to local food and sights.
From bowling, to attending a youth talent competition, everybody involved had an unforgettable experience.
Some of the teachers from the Fuzhou School, said: “Clitheroe is such a beautiful town. If I lived in England I’d like to live in Clitheroe. The hot chocolate (from Chocolate works) is the best drink I ever had.”
Another teacher said: “I go through my photos and videos in Clitheroe since I return to China and miss my stay there and your warm reception in your beautiful town.”
The pupils of Bowland High School will repay the visit travelling to China to spend time with the Chinese students in October and hope to learn a lot from their stay.
Witton Park Academy in Blackburn are also involved in the exchange program and will also be visiting China.
