A MUM-OF-TWO, who had once been a size 24, lost seven stones.
Mandee Hall from Oswaldtwistle, managed to drop the pounds in just 15 months, and is now enjoying maintaining her weight, comfortably fitting into size 10 clothes.
The 37-year-old HR worker, who joined Slimming World at the end of 2016, said: “My brother took a family photo one Boxing Day and, after seeing how I looked on it, I decided I had to do something about my weight.
“I knew I was big. But I think I just refused to accept it because I was always hiding behind a fake smile and a bubbly personality.
“So, instead of waiting for the January rush, when everyone decides to lose weight and join a gym, I decided to join before the New Year.”
Ms Hall’s weight-loss journey led to a complete lifestyle change, during which she met her partner, Linny Craig.
And it wasn’t just her relationship that benefited from the alterations she made, as her two children, Charlie, 15, and Hermione, 11, now like to join her in meal preparation, cooking, and working out.
She said: “I’ve not looked back since losing the weight.
“Joining Slimming World changed my relationship with food and showed me how simple swaps can make a big change.
“After losing a little bit of weight I finally gained the confidence to join a gym and attended various classes including spin, pilates and metafit, as well as swimming and cardio workouts.”
At first, Ms Hall lost seven stone but found it difficult to maintain and put some of the weight back on.
She said: “I’m happy with the 6st 9lbs I’ve lost and am working hard to maintain that.
“I love meal-prepping and the kids also get involved with cooking.
“My partner has been really supportive and we are now an active family and enjoy swimming and walking together.
“I feel a lot more confident and happy in everyday life.”
