A BURNLEY fan who is running to every Premier League stadium this season appeared on TV’s Sports Personality of the Year awards on Sunday night.
Clare Balding introduced Scott Cunliffe on the show recognising sporting heroes for the efforts.
She said: “Scott Cunliffe is running to all of Burnley’s away games this season which is more than 3,000 miles.
“They are raising money for charity and it is a terrific effort.”
Speaking to the Telegraph, the 44-year-old said his love of running helped him overcome post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which developed after a stint in south east Asia as a charity worker.
Mr Cunliffe, from Worsthorne, said he aims to raise £10,000 for charity Burnley FC in the Community, which will distribute half of the funds to charities in the town.
