TWO hospice volunteers won an online contest to name a new cafe.
Anita Almond, from Clayton-le-Dale, and Janet Eastwood beat 66 other hopefuls to name East Lancashire hospice's new bistro.
The hospice's competition, held on social media, asked supporters to suggest a name for the new eatery.
Café Retreat, as it will be called, will be offering special Christmas afternoon tea gift vouchers for the public over the festive period.
Bosses at the hospice are looking for volunteers to help out in the café between 10am and 1pm, or 12pm and 3pm.
CEO of East Lancashire Hospice, Lyn Stevenson said: “It really is an exciting time at East Lancashire Hospice, it’s not just about making things nicer the focus of the improvements is that they will enhance our current facilities to support out patients and their families whilst supporting staff in doing their job more effectively.”
Ms Almond and Ms Eastwood's prize included an afternoon tea hosted at the hospice’s new cafe, which they got to enjoy with their closest family.
