TWO volunteer organisations joined forces to clean up Blackburn streets.
Volunteers and members of Lammack Association and Mini Angels worked hand in hand on Saturday to clear the litter off the streets of Lammack, Blackburn.
Young children from Mini Angels worked with senior residents of the community to bridge generation gaps and highlight the importance of recycling.
One of the organisers, Sabir Esa, said: "The highly rewarding clean up finished off with a mouth watering biryani for the food lovers and pizza, chips and nuggets for fun loving children.
"A big thank you to the Hare and Hounds, for allowing free usage of the function room, Blackburn with Darwen's environment and refuge team, for supplying and supporting the clean up, and Near Neighbours for funding this activity."
