A NEW parking scheme for a Blackburn school has been delayed.
Parents of children at Lammack Primary were expected to be able to use the car park next to the nearby Hare and Hounds Free House, part of Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School playing fields, from last week.
But a Blackburn with Darwen Council spokeswoman said yesterday: "The opening is being deferred. It is now set for Monday November 19."
Alf Green, chairman of The Lammack Association said: "The new car park is welcome but the delay is unfortunate. It is long overdue."
