A MAN was taken to hospital after two cars crashed into a wall.
Police officers, firefighters and paramedics were called to Noggarth Road in Fence, at around 9.50pm last night.
A police spokesman said a Fiat Punto and another car had crashed into the wall and caught fire.
Three men were found to be in the other car and all suffered minor injuries, with one being taken to hospital to be checked over, a North West Ambulance Service spokesman said.
A police spokesman said: "The occupants of the Fiat had made off from the scene.
"Officers closed the road off for a couple of hours and reopened it at around midnight."
A fire service spokesman said the Fiat's doors were found wide open with no one inside, and the flames were put out.
