THWAITES Shire horses have moved to their new home in Ribble Valley completing the company's transfer from its historic Blackburn base
Wainwright, Gunner, Ribble and Drummer and the three-man stable team were the last piece of the move from the Star Brewery in Penny Street to the purpose-built site in Mellor Brook
They are now settling into their American-style oak barn. The horses all have their names carved into wood of their new stables near a display of drays and historic equipment.
A new life-size sculpture will be erected at the brewery entrance celebrating the horses and their links to Thwaites.
Jane Waterworth, Marketing Director, said last night: “The stable team came over with the horses this morning. The move is now complete."
