THE victim of an attack in Burnley on Saturday is being kept alive on a life support machine.
Blackburn magistrates heard his brother is being flown over from Slovakia to see Marek Krivok before the machine is switched off.
Cathy Allan, prosecuting, said Drew Samuel Wilkinson was currently charged with wounding but this was expected to be replaced with a murder charge.
Wilkinson, 18, of Straight Mile Court, Burnley, was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court charged with wounding Mr Krivok with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon, a knuckle duster, in Hargreaves Street, Burnley, on Saturday.
He will appear before the Crown Court on November 29.
Two other men, aged 25 and 19, who were arrested on suspicion of assault were released without charge.
